The Naish Alana 10’6″ X32 inflatable paddle board is an all-around iSUP with a lightweight build specially designed for women. A thinner version of the popular Naish Nalu 10’6″ inflatable SUP, it’s excellent for light touring and flat water cruising, but also performs well in small surf. With its thin and lightweight design, the Alana 10’6″ X32 is perfect for lighter paddlers who need a versatile SUP that can pretty much do it all. The Alana 10’6″ X32 measures 10’6″ x 32″ x 5″ and weighs a remarkably light 19 pounds. Even though this board is so lightweight, it still has a maximum capacity rating of 190 pounds which is enough to bring along extra gear, a pup, or a small passenger. Naish designed the Alana 10’6″ X32 to be easy to maneuver in flat water or slightly choppy water conditions.

The board’s single-layer construction helps to keep the weight down. However, durability and performance aren’t compromised with the help of the X-weave drop-stitch material which enhances the stiffness of the board when fully inflated. The unique weave pattern creates even tension across the length of the board, resulting in an impressive stiffness-to-weight ratio. A double PVC stringer running from nose to tail further enhances overall stiffness and reduces buckling without adding a lot of extra weight.

The double-layer rails of the Alana 10’6″ X32 further enhance the board’s rigidity while providing additional protection against damage caused by rocks and other hard objects. According to Naish’s standardized stiffness rating, the Alana 10’6″ X32 is rated with a 3.2 — while it won’t outrank other inflatable paddle boards that are 6″ thick and constructed with additional PVC layers, it’s still very respectable.

The top deck of the Alana 10’6″ X32 features a high-quality EVA foam pad with a crocodile skin texture. The deck pad doesn’t just look great — it also provides stellar traction and is comfortable enough for long paddles.

A carrying handle sits at the middle of the deck, with two additional grab handles located at the nose and tail. These are convenient for handling the board in and around the water and the Alana 10’6″ X32 also features two D-rings along the rails for attaching the included shoulder carrying strap. This is a much more comfortable carrying option for long walks.

A small bungee cargo storage area at the front section of the board gives you enough space to stash a waterproof backpack or dry bag. A single D-ring attached to the rear grab handle also serves as an attachment point for your SUP leash.

The Alana 10’6″ X32 comes with a single, center US fin box that allows for tool-less installation and customization of your fin setup. The US fin box adds a bit of versatility to this board — in addition to giving you the ability to experiment with other compatible fins, you can also move the fin forward or backward which fine-tunes tracking and turning performance.

All in all, the Alana 10’6″ X32 is an excellent example of Naish’s ability to design a small, lightweight iSUP that doesn’t skimp on performance.
