SUP Overview

Another new addition to ISLE Surf & SUP’s inflatable paddle board range for 2019 is the 10’6” Pioneer — a stable, all-around iSUP that can be used for general flat water paddling, cruising with a child or pup, SUP fitness, fishing, small surf, and more.

Measuring 10’6” x 31” x 6” and weighing in at a lightweight 21 pounds, the ISLE Pioneer is very easy to transport and a good choice for serious travelers. As you’d expect, the Pioneer sports a beautiful design and comes in two eye-catching colors this season: Grey, and White.

Featuring ISLE’s Airtech Fusion Lite construction which reduces material waste and hand-gluing errors, the Pioneer is lighter than many similar boards while still retaining the rigidity and overall toughness you expect from the best inflatable SUP brands.

As with the popular ISLE Explorer 11′, Explorer 12′, and the new ISLE Scout, the top deck of the Pioneer is covered by a brushed EVA foam traction pad which is easy on the hands and feet, something that’s nice to have when it comes to SUP fitness workouts. There’s also a carrying handle located on the middle of the board which features a new rounded design and soft neoprene covering for improved comfort.

The Pioneer is capable of hauling quite a bit of gear, thanks to the board’s dual bungee storage areas. Positioned at both the nose and tail are D-ring tie-down points with elastic shock cord for securing your dry bags, fishing equipment, snorkeling gear, and more. There’s also a convenient grab handle at the nose which is helpful when it comes to handling the board in and around the water.

Lastly, at the tail is a Halkey-Roberts inflation valve and a final D-ring for tying on the included ankle leash.

On the underside of the ISLE Pioneer is a triple fin setup with two fixed side fins and a large removable center fin.

Included with the 2019 Pioneer is everything you need to get on the water (aside from a SUP life jacket or PFD, of course). In the box you’ll find the following:
