SUP Overview
A larger, more stable version of ERS’ 9-6 and 10-7 SKYLAKE BLUE boards, the Earth River SUP 11-0 SKYLAKE BLUE offers additional width and volume which is ideal for bigger paddlers. Measuring 11’ x 34” x 5” and weighing in at 22 pounds, this board is capable of supporting riders up to 265 pounds and designed to perform well in a variety of conditions.
Like the other ERS SKYLAKE SUPs, the 11-0 is constructed with the company’s Tech Dual fused laminate construction process which reduces overall weight, material waste, and hand-gluing errors. The result is a lighter, more consistent board that doesn’t sacrifice toughness or rigidity.
For added stiffness and improved performance, Earth River SUP also incorporated their Enhanced Dynamic Rail reinforcements into the design of the 11-0 SKYLAKE BLUE.
Recommended for all-around flat water fun, SUP fitness, paddling around your pup, moderate surf and whitewater, choppy conditions, and even fishing, ERS’ 11-0 SKYLAKE BLUE brings a lot of versatility to the table.
Covering the top deck of the board is Earth River SUP’s excellent multi-grip traction pad. The larger front portion of the deck pad features a comfy croc pattern while the smaller rear section has a more aggressive diamond groove pattern, raised kick tail, and foot bar for improved control in the surf and during pivot turns.
Earth River SUP added a high-quality inflation valve at the tail along with a durable stainless steel D-ring for attaching a SUP leash. Mid-board is a carry handle that’s covered by a neoprene Velcro grip, and there’s also a 4-point bungee storage area at the board’s nose. Capable of securing your waterproof dry bag, snorkeling gear, or paddle, the bungee cargo space ensures that your gear is safe and always within arm’s reach.
Also located at the nose of the board is another D-ring which is well-positioned for towing or tethering the board to a boat dock.
Positioned on the bottom of the 11-0 SKYLAKE BLUE are three removable fins. The two smaller side fins use a convenient click-in system while the center fin makes use of a universal US fin box for added versatility. With this setup, you can experiment with different fins and configurations which we feel is a definite advantage over the company’s 11-0 SKYLAKE GREEN board.
